Salpaus Board of directors has decided to cancel all student mobilities because of coronavirus risk. All planned mobility periods of staff and students are cancelled until the end of May 2020 and the students are recommended to return home.
Salpaus is not welcoming visiting students or staff from abroad either because of the coronavirus risk. Ongoing periods of incoming student mobilities at the companies in Finland are recommended to be ended and students are advised to return home. Since Salpaus started distance teaching and learning arrangements from 17.3.2020, the incoming exchange students at Salpaus will return home too.
If possible, cancelled mobility periods of Salpaus students will be postponed to a later period. Graduating students are entitled to apply Erasmus+ grants during the period of 12 months after graduation.
Salpaus international partners are informed about these decisions by international coordinators and teachers.
The situation is surprising and unfortunate for everyone but Salpaus prioritises the health of students and staff over everything else.
