Jessika Kokko:
ITE College gave us an accurate and clear program for the two weeks we were there and we were able to sit in on and participate in many different lessons, topics and assignments. We saw how the local students had enjoyed their classes and how they wanted to participate in different assignments and project work. All presentations were carefully prepared and a lot of background research was carried out. Although the topics in class were important, the atmosphere in the classrooms was always light and positive.
In schools, the students were dressed in school uniforms, including a white-collar shirt, a tie, and a black dress trousers or skirt. We were also asked to dress properly on the school campus, sandals, sneakers, and too revealing clothes were forbidden.
I was particularly impressed with one debate lesson. The students had made a deep background study and designed the argument to defend their position, well. The subject was difficult and, in spite of this, the students were excited about the assigned task. All was done in a positive atmosphere.

I am very grateful that I was able to participate in this trip as part of my studies. This was a unique opportunity to meet new people, make contacts abroad, learn English and get an unforgettable experience. I will never forget this experience and would love to go Singapore again to study anytime. So, thanks to the HULA-network and the people who chose me and made it possible to be involved in this trip.
Aurora Lehto:
It was great to have an experience such as this and have the opportunity to study in a successful and international country. It was also wonderful to get friends from the over side of the world and to get to know their cultures. On the trip it was nice to note that there was no bullying or discrimination in their schools, even though there was a mix of different cultures and skin colors.
